Is The ShakCryo Glow Worth It?
At Rentoora, we rent the best LED masks available, and to find the best we spend hours learning about different LED masks on the market, understanding their technology, reading reviews and following real discussions about people's experiences on forums like Reddit and Quora. We've built up a picture of how the Shark CryoGlow works for different people, when they start to notice benefits, as well as what they don't love about it.
The majority of people are genuinely impressed with their results, especially when it comes to acne. We've learnt that this mask is particularly good at calming acne, breakouts clear quicker with fewer residual red marks. It's also famous for those under-eye cooling pads which give a refreshing, tightening feel that's been very popular.

Renting Shark CryoGlow For Acne
A bacteria called Cutibacterium acnes naturally lives in our pores. When excess oil and dead skin cells clog the pore, this bacteria multiplies rapidly, triggering the inflammation and breakouts.
Shark CryoGlow's Blemish Repair treatment uses blue light therapy to target this bacteria directly. The light gets absorbed by compounds within the bacteria, creating a reaction that puts the bacteria under stress and ultimately causes them to self-destruct.
As bacterial levels decrease, the associated inflammation, swelling, and redness also reduce.
However, blue light doesn't penetrate very far into the skin. This is why the Shark CryoGlow combines blue light with red and near-infrared wavelengths in the Blemish Repair treatment. Blue light eliminates surface bacteria, while red and near-infrared penetrate deeper to address inflammation in the deeper layers of skin, making it effective for both surface breakouts and deeper, more stubborn acne.

Testing and Early Results
You’ll likely notice active breakouts looking calmer and less inflamed within the first few uses.
These early changes happen as the blue light targets acne-causing bacteria, while red light supports healing and reduces surrounding redness. Many users also see surface blemishes clearing faster than usual during this stage.
Why Rent the CurrentBody LED Mask:
Weeks 1–4 are perfect for figuring out if mask is right for you.
Ask yourself: Are new breakouts appearing less often? Are spots healing in fewer days? Does this slot easily into your skincare routine? This window gives you enough time to test the mask’s fit, comfort, and early results without committing to the full retail price.

Visible Changes
By this stage, the early improvements from weeks 1–4 continue to build into more noticeable, lasting changes.
Skin often feels smoother, looks clearer, and appears more even in tone. Breakouts tend to be less frequent, while marks from previous blemishes may start to fade. Fine lines can begin to soften, and overall skin texture feels healthier and more refined.
This is when the combination of blue, red, and near-infrared light has had enough time to work on both the surface and deeper layers of the skin, calming inflammation, supporting collagen production, and encouraging repair.
Why Rent the Shark Cryo Glow: Weeks 4–8 are when many users see the most satisfying results, whether they’re focusing on blemish control, anti-ageing, or an all-round boost. This is the point where you can fully judge how well the mask fits into your lifestyle and delivers on your skin goals before deciding to invest in your own.

Maximum Results
After consistent use for 8+ weeks you'll be seeing the full potential of LED therapy.
Skin often appears consistently clear and balanced, with a noticeable reduction in recurring breakouts. Any lingering post-blemish marks may be significantly faded, and fine lines or texture irregularities are less visible.
This is the stage where ongoing light therapy and collagen stimulation work together to reinforce your skin’s structure, creating a firmer, more lifted look, particularly around the jawline and under-chin. The benefits of regular blue light use also help maintain a clearer complexion, making improvements easier to sustain over time.
Note on Renting: We don’t recommend renting the mask for this extended period, as it’s more cost-effective to purchase your own once you’ve seen it works for you.

How Does the Shark CryoGlow Work?
This at-home LED mask takes the guesswork out of light therapy with three dermatologist-designed programmes that know exactly what your skin needs.
Simply choose Blemish Control when breakouts are your main concern, Anti-Ageing for tackling fine lines and boosting radiance, or Skin Sustain for general use.
Each programme automatically cycles through the dermatologist-designed combination of blue (415nm), red (630nm), and near-infrared (830nm) wavelengths, targeting different layers of your skin.
The under-eye cooling pads can be turned on or off, and you can also adjust the cooling intensity to your liking.
If you're pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding, we'd recommend giving this mask a miss for now. The device hasn't been tested during pregnancy or while nursing, so it's not known if it's safe for you and your baby.
While reactions are uncommon, some skincare ingredients can make your skin more sensitive to light and might potentially cause reactions during LED treatment.
